There are stories dating back to around the 10th century about Ethiopian coffee. Ethiopians have traditionally enjoyed their coffee during morning, afternoon and evening. The evening had a special feeling as everyone gathers around the coffee while chatting with friends and neighbours about the day-to-day struggles and challenges they faced. The coffee ceremony allowed people to unwind,relax and enjoy just a few hours before heading off to bed again, in preparation to face the next day of hardship off survival.
Likewise, many Australians love and depend heavily on coffee to get through the day. The first thing many of us do to kick-start our day is to drink a cup of coffee – or two; and catching up over a cup of coffee is often an activity that brings so many people together, both personally and professionally.
Ethiopian coffee in particular, has many varieties of heirloom and a highly complex mix of species, giving it its unique and facinating flavours. Boon Beans was born out of the desire to share these unique and distinct flavours of authentic Ethiopian speciality coffee and make it available in Australia. We import our Speciality Green coffee beans from Ethiopia and distribute it directly to the public from our warehouse in Australia. We always aim to cultivate and garner close and lasting relationships with our suppliers and clients.
